Khan Academy is a video library of how-to math and science videos, founded by a Harvard Business School MBA graduate Salman Khan. It is a non-profit organization aiming to provide free basic education across the globe. I am totally bowled over by this kind of social entrepreneurship. And I am puzzled with the variety of topics covered, from basic math to finance and credit crisis issues!

Mowgli[The Jungle Book] used to be my favorite serial while growing up Those days we were pretty much at the mercy of Doordarshan. How we would wait for the day and time, prepare, finish up homework. Now, there is on demand tv, almost 24 x 7 sprout, pbs kids, cartoon channels. And if that doesn’t satisfy the apetite, there is always youtube.

We are in the transition phase of moving from one country to another. In the meantime, youtube has been a savior in entertaining kids. While looking for nursery rhymes based videos that my kids are familiar with, I hit upon this site – . There are a handful of their videos available in youtube. Their ABC song, Five little Monkeys and Rain Rain Go Away were an instant hit.
