My friend introduced us to the Bruno, Pepper series of books and we are hooked on to it ever since. Pretty cheap, 30 Indian Rupees is all it costs. Very very simple, not many lines to read, beautiful illustrations. I am surprised not to see reviews on this series of books.
In this particular book, Bruno doesn’t listen to his mom when she asks him to clean up his toys as he is in a hurry to watch TV. Grandpa who …

A friend got my daughter a bunch of Tulika books. The bilingual [Hindi / English ] ones. Such a wonderful concept and easy way to introduce a new language to kids.

One of the books my daughter loves in this series and can relate to is – Main kya banaoon? What shall I make? It’s about this boy Neeraj getting hold of a ball of chappati dough, which he rolls, pats and makes various animal shapes out of it. Just as their web site says, its about …

Honestly, I picked this book up just for the title. This is the first Nancy carlson book I have come across. She liked it the very first time we read it. It is a very simple book, very simple message in each page. Its about a girl pig liking everything about herself. Just the way she is. How she finds ways to be happy when she is not at her best. My daughter loves this book. Probably due to familiarity from hearing the song from age 1. Also the satisfaction she gets as she thinks she can reads it herself. Add to it the stencil colorful pictures on each page. the monkeys bumping their heads, making faces. She likes this book so much that even the front and back of the book is not spared. I have to end it by saying – Written by Eileen Christelow. And after some 50 odd reads so far, she has by-hearted …

Written By: Eric Carle
I have read a lot of reviews about this book and Eric carle’s book in general. This is the first time I have managed to get one in hand and boy! it is beautifully written and illustrated. 2 to 3 lines per page at the most with bold and bright colors catching the eyes.
The first time I read this book to my daughter, she was alarmed to see the caterpillar transform into a butterfly. She kept saying it is not a beautiful butterfly, it was a scary …
